Like many of the readers whom visit this blog, I am interested in web design. One of the issues for me, however, is that I am a novice designer. So for me, I am not sure if my code would necessarily mean a nicely designed webpage. How then, would I be able to assure that what I’m coding would look nice? Would others find my design not only looking good, but also easy to navigate through?
Such questions no longer need to burden me thanks to CodePen. This free to use website was created as a learning tool for developers of all levels. A user can create a web project, called a “Pen”, where they can instantaneously see how their code will translate into design. Once a user saves their pen it can be viewed by others can view the entire project, code and all.
One of Codepen’s other great features its ability to save any number of designs under your profile. No longer are you burdened with the memory your projects will take. With CodePen’s ability to support a variety of languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, designers of all levels can develop their web design skills. It is great for those who are just learning or just want to fine tune their abilities.
